recycle bin artfun

Artwork from my recycle basket, in colors I have always liked together--black, white, red, yellow. Mixed media, packaging, marker, junk mail, fluted matboard, paste. It is my method to watch a movie or listen to an audiobook and just let the piece develop, snipping and pasting as called for. Free design, free materials, free fun. About 6"x9" plus the black mat.

magenta and yellow acrylic painting

Acrylic on canvas, about 12" square. I selected two colors, and inspired by a quilt I made years ago for my terminally ill daughter, played with brush and paint on a piece of linen. Not a piece made for market, but for my own pleasure and learning. I like acrylics!

Self Portrait Collage 2008

A self portrait in collage. It's challenging fun to create with cutting and tearing of various types of paper and layering. This is 12x16" on a pintura painting panel base painted with burnt sienna acrylic on rough watercolor paper. I used paper I have collected and found; didn't buy anything new for this project since lately I am concentrating on recycled art and craft projects.
