i believe i found a versatile red that will create oranges and purples! it's gamblin quinacridone red. did a little testing today. look at the pinks created with raw sienna, too.
went for a lovely drive in the country and found this wonderful old barn. wish i could do this everyday, i felt like me there. think the painting needs a little finishing, but am happy enough with it. 9x12" oil on masonite.
no rain today, actually got out to paint. this little adobe has been catching my eye when dropping my son off at school. about 2 hours, premixed my colors from lemon yellow, napthol red, ult blue, raw sienna and white. the panel was pretoned lite beige. 9x12" oil on masonite.
