is it a giant stalk of broccoli? with a wilted celery sidekick? naa, it's #6 in the 100 starts project. too soon to tell if its helping. just looks like a mess. 6x8 oil on yupo . think i'll try a different surface.

while listening to 'the art of happiness at work' by the dalai lama, an audiobook downloaded from netlibrary, i played with paint. this is what came out of the brush. irl the tones are more gray. stonehenge cream printmakers paper about 10x12"

ok, this doesn't look like much, but while driving home from dropping my son off at school, i saw the sunrays breaking thru the fog/clouds above this palm tree. so painted it from the photo i took in my head. the eyes as camera, memory as film. oh, yeah.
