went out to paint today, down by the lake. fairly happy with this one. painting outside is fun, but problematic, so you have to have time and be in the mood.

it was difficult to paint decoratively and dimensionally and try to copy van gogh. 8"x10" oil on claybord.

itza different day. i had an experimental painting on linen that i only liked parts of, so i cut out these flowers and pasted them onto some journals.

all warts

no time, and i tried to fake it by using the leftover paint i had on the palette. mistake. but no time for do-overs, so here it is, poor warty thing.

very busy at work this time of year, not much time to paint. decided to do a larger piece based on the red gerbera, and will post the progress here daily. I'm using a linen covered board, 11"x14".

had trouble finding what to paint today, usually i walk around my house and something says 'paint me', it was late b4 i heard the bowl. needs work, but i needed to photograph it b4 the sun is gone. tried the dual light source again, blue light from the window and yellow from a lamp.
